Jakarta, mpi-update.Tiga of 14 priority industrial estates built outside Java began operating, namely Sei Mangke Industrial Estate, North Sumatra; Morowali, Central Sulawesi; and Bantaeng, South Sulawesi.
“All three are already in operation. Three other industrial areas are under construction, namely the Industrial Zone in Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi; Bitung, North Sulawesi; and Palu, Central Sulawesi, “said Industry Minister Airlangga Hartanto in Jakarta, Thursday (22/12).
Meanwhile, further Airlangga, eight other industrial areas are still in the planning stages, namely the industrial area in Bintuni Bay, West Papua; Buli, North Maluku; Ketapang, West Kalimantan; and Hedgehogs, West Kalimantan.
In addition, the industrial area of Slippery Rock, South Kalimantan; Tanggamus, Lampung; Kuala Tanjung, North Sumatra and Jorong, South Kalimantan.
“The development of several industrial areas is zero, so it takes three to five years to be built and operated,” said Airlangga.
Airlangga added that in three years front, the Ministry of industry will also accelerate the development of industrial estates in Tanjung Buton, Dumai, Berau, Land Yellow, Gresik, Kendal and industrial area Integrated Wilmar in Serang.
To date, there are 73 industrial zones that have been operating throughout Indonesia.
Known, three industrial estates which are already operating in Sei Mangkei, Simalungun, North Sumatra stands on an area of 2,002 hectares with an investment of Rp9.5 trillion, engaged in palm oil processing industry.
Then, an industrial area in Morowali, Sulawesi standing on an area of 1,200 hectares with an investment of around Rp49,7 trillion and move Bisang ferronickel industry.
Furthermore, the industrial area in Bantaeng, South Sulawesi stands on an area of 3,000 hectares with an investment of Rp24,4 trillion and move on ferronickel industry. (Ant.)
