JAKARTA – PT Metropolitan Permata Development, a subsidiary of PT Metropolitan Land Tbk (Metland) and PT Sukses Manis Indonesia, a subsidiary of Keppel Land launched a residential project footprint in Tangerang in the third quarter of 2017. The project is targeting the middle and upper middle segments in the border area of West Jakarta, Tangerang, Banten.
President Director of PT Metropolitan Land Tbk Thomas J Angfendy, said the two companies agreed on operational cooperation (joint operation) for projects worth almost Rp 1 trillion this distribution of shares of 50:50.
“On this occasion we submit the development plan of the house footprint in the region Metland Puri Cipondoh. The project value is around Rp 800 billion to Rp 1 trillion, “Thomas said after signing the agreement JO in Jakarta, Thursday (22/12).
He said, this joint project includes the construction of 450 housing units on the land footprint of 12 hectares (ha). The project, located one overlay with Metland Puri area is targeted for completion in less than three years.
“With the construction of new housing, we expect value Metland Castle and around Cipondoh will increase,” he said.
According to Thomas, working with Keppel Land is also a business strategy to improve product quality so that the resale value is higher than other similar projects. “Keppel had experienced in Asia. Value will increase significantly than we built ourselves. Before signature JO, we’ve been brewing concept development for 6 months or more,” he said.
Thomas is optimistic that occupancy will be absorbed by the market, despite various circles found in the residential market segment of middle and middle up flagging. Metland more than investors targeting the end user.
