Uno: Developer Should Consider the issue of EIA

                            

Jakarta – Candidate Deputy Governor sequence number 3 in the elections of Jakarta in 2017, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, will further tighten aspects of the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) on the construction of tall buildings in the capital city of Jakarta.

Section, where the construction of tall buildings both for apartments and offices were built without planning a good environmental impact it will have a negative impact on the surrounding environment.

“Definitely we will ask the developers and those who want to build tall buildings to very attentive to the EIA. Do not let this draft makes the neighborhood residents increasingly flooding,” said Sandiaga Uno when visiting Jalan Complex Gas III, RT08 / RW01 , Palmerah Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-district, West Jakarta, Sunday (27/11).

Uno Uno admitted, if we believe society have become Deputy Governor of Jakarta, he would ask the relevant agencies to look beyond the EIA of the construction of a tall buildings in order not to create a flood neighborhoods surrounding residents.

He also ensured the construction of tall buildings and commercial or industrial area is not allowed to use drill wells take water from groundwater that could further endanger the land in the capital because the ground is getting down dramatically.

“Everyone should be balanced, the development of small communities precedence, the construction of commercial areas are still allowed as long as it has followed the RTRW and ensure correct the EIA adhered sake of environmental sustainability in Jakarta,” he said.
