Menpar: Property and Tourism Must Synergy Mutual

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Minister of Tourism (Menpar) Arief Yahya suggested that there is a synergy between the tourism sector and the property.

This was done to increase the potential return on investment business that can be obtained in each sector.

“Yes to return the business is high then combine the two businesses for the current tourism eturn itself is not too high, a maximum of 15 percent,” said Arief in Compass 100 CEO Forum, in Jakarta, Thursday (11/24/2016).

How concretely, said Arief, can be done by dividing the land owned by the developer, which means most to be sold as the property and the remainder for tourism.

“If I had the land of 1,000 hectares, an average that much, 10 percent for tourism and the rest is sold as the property so combined. Even if in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), a foreigner may buy from us, “said Arief.

in response, the Chairman of Developers Association of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Eddy Hussy stated, the concept must be developed because tourism has become one of the business lines which are also engaged members.

However, until now Indonesia’s tourism sector in the eyes of Eddy still has not maximized its potential well.

“Actually resorts and hotels as well as property so almost all the members of REI as developers got it. I think Indonesia is still far from the development so much great potential for development, “said Eddy.
