Jakarta, mpi update the Regional Infrastructure Development Agency (BPIW) Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has continued to extend cooperation with the Green Building France. One of them probing for further cooperation in realizing the development of Eco District Sustainable Intelligent Cities in Indonesia.
“In a city planning towards Sustainable Intelligent Cities indeed need partnerships with many parties. Including, partnerships with international organizations and friendly countries, “said Head of the Ministry PUPR BPIW, Rido Matari Ichwan BPIW accompanied by Secretary of the Ministry of PUPR, Dadang Rukmana during the visit of representatives of the Green Building France, Franck Miraux in BPIW Office, Jakarta, Thursday (17/11) as quoted from the official website PUPR.
According Rido, BPIW continually breaking partnership opportunities with various parties in developing cities in Indonesia, so that the condition of the cities that there can be better in the future.
Build cities, further Rido, requires planning, conception, that is not a short process time and cost that is not cheap. “Thus, the creation of partnerships with various relevant institutions into a kind of necessity, in order to develop the cities can be more easily and realized with a faster time,” he said.
Dadang Rukmana said today France is one one developed country that should be towed in the development of cities in Indonesia. “A lot of things that need to be adopted and learned from there (French-red) related to the development of the city,” he said.
According to him, today many cities in France that manages urban systems properly. “There (French-ed) there are cities that can supply electrical energy autonomously by utilizing the energy potential, ranging from biomass, solar, waste management and others,” he said.
He added that cooperation ever undertaken by France in the urban development in Indonesia form a support. “With more and more cities in this country who got help, it will assist the government in developing the cities,” said Dadang.
Franck Miraux said the cooperation that has been done recently for two cities, namely Bandung and Mataram. According to him, France in the joint development of the city has always priority to human resource development (HRD) of city-dwellers by adjusting the character and values that live in the area.
As is known, Sector Infrastructure Development of Large City and New Town Development Center Ministry of Urban BPIW PUPR in 2016 to provide guidance to the eight cities to accelerate the development of Sustainable Intelligent cities.
Eight cities that represent Sumatra, Kalimantan, Selawesi, east and Java, namely Banda Aceh, Padang, Banjarmasin, Gorontalo, smells, Ambon, Salatiga, Psychology. It is expected for the development of eight cities can do cooperation with France.
