TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Property developer PT Metropolitan Land Tbk (Metland) recorded an increase of presale houses (landed residential) upper middle class. Tax amnesty program be one reason.
Finance Director of PT Metropolitan Land Tbk Olivia Surodio said the sales increase begun in August 2016. “Sales increased threefold month to month,” he said in the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Jakarta, Monday, December 5, 2016.
Olivia says sales rise cycle normally occurs in November and December. Sales jumped in August after the government issued some stimulus. “Stimulus include tax amnesty program, LTV, and lower interest rates,” he said.
Stimulus project will not effect the middle and lower middle. Sales, said Olivia, almost the same. “In total, recorded presale doubled month to month,” he said.
Olivia optimistic that sales in December will be great again. He is also confident that the sales target set at Rp 1.35 trillion, can be achieved.
As of October 2016, the company’s revenue sale marketing version reached around Rp 1.3 trillion. Property sales contributed Rp 838.6 billion, or 91.6 percent of the 2016 budget of Rp 915 billion. While recurring revenue reached Rp 373 billion, or 93.2 percent of the budget in 2016 amounted to Rp 400 billion.
This does not include the results of the joint venture with a Singapore company, Ascendas. Metland get Rp 195 billion from the sale of land in Metland Cyber City, Tangerang.
