Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) ask the developer in Real Estate Indonesia (REI) to assist the government to build affordable housing and reduce the number of backlog which is currently still reached 11.8 million units. The President also asked the developers to not need kawatirkan the political climate heats up a little bit.
“Lately when I met with the private sector and the business world certainly questionable to me, certainly not a matter of economics, but instead a matter of politics. When it comes to politics ask the experts,” said Jokowi dala opening of the National Conference (National Conference) Realestate Indonesia (REI) to XV, at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (29/11).
Jokowi admitted that in recent years, is not a sudden, we are a little political tensinya up and I think it is reasonable and every campaign and election of regents and mayors, the governor ya like this. But it is rather isitimewa in gubernatorial elections in Jakarta. Although sebenanrnya gubernatorial election there are 101 districts of the city and is always highlighted is Jakarta.
“Indeed, we need to be consolidation of state, so that our nation is stronger and tougher and more resilient in berpolitk, more mature. But for all of us present here, all members of REI, let’s get back to work would focus on developing homes for low-income communities (MBR), “he said.
According to the President Jokowi, the government ensures that every Indonesian people have a decent place to live. Because of the current backlog or shortage of homes there are still 11 million units.
“This figure is very big at all and last year 2015, the government has completed 690 thousand housing units and should we pursue in order backlog that we can soon be closed,” he said.
