JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – disputes that often occur between consumers and property developers is not new.
Most occur because consumers are not getting the reality match the promise of the developer when buying property.
When that happens, the consumer’s position as the most aggrieved party can not always win against the developer. That is because the consumer protection law in Indonesia is still not strong.

To handle it this, Panangian suggest developers Association of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) who just got a new leader to provide such knowledge to the developer to implement good corporate governance.

One way that can be done by REI to do that is by learning from developers who have made an initial public offering (IPO).
