JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The property sector in 2016 is still considered encouraging.

However, entering the end of the year, signs of economic recovery become apparent. Real Estate developer Organisation Indonesia (REI) is optimistic that the government’s efforts to adjust the regulation and deregulation will have positive impact on the national property industry.

“Overall growth in the sale of the property of all the segments are not too high, about 5 percent. Sales of properties subsidies lower middle segment encouraging this year. While sales sector upper middle was corrected,” said Chairman of REI Eddy Hussy on the Media Lunch with Journalists Forum Housing People, Thursday (10/11/2016).

Sales of subsidized home until September 2016 also increased by about 37 percent, while sales of non-subsidized homes or commercial down about 11.95 percent.

In nominal terms, total sales of non-subsidized homes is greater than the subsidy houses. So the overall aggregate number of property sales to grow about 5 percent.

Meanwhile, the outstanding value of mortgage / KPA recorded at Bank Indonesia by September 2016 recorded a growth of 6.78 per cent on an annual basis.
