People’s House Exhibition 2016 in Jakarta Generating Transactions of Rp 42 Billion


(Local News – Jakarta) People’s House Exhibition 2016 organized by the Centre for Management of the Housing Financing Fund (PPDPP) Ministry of Public Works and Housing Exhibition Hall of the People in Smesco Building, Jakarta, was closed on Sunday (13/11) afternoon, Ms. Anita Firmanti as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. Pamaran which lasted for five days from September 9 to 13 November 2016 has been visited by an average of 1,000 people per day.

In the exhibition the transaction as much as Rp 42 billion with a total of 5,200 visitors. Housing exhibition featuring various developers selling homes with mortgages through a liquidity facility housing finance (mortgage FLPP) is visited by the public, especially low-income communities (MBR).

Previously the same exhibition held in the city of Jambi visited by as many as 2,324 people, with total transaction value reached Rp 10.7 billion for 97 housing units prosperous. Banyuwangi number of visitors reached 12 581 people, with a total transaction value of Rp 53.5 billion for 584 housing units prosperous. Kendari number of visitors as many as 1,925 people, there is a transaction valued at Rp 41.9 billion for 401 housing units prosperous.

General Secretary Anita in his closing remarks said that the fulfillment of the basic needs of the community for the house livable and affordable is still not optimal and need the support of all parties. There are still many Indonesian families who do not have a home and it is the responsibility of all parties, both the central government and local governments.

The government seeks to accelerate the implementation of housing and residential areas by launching a program of one million homes last April 2015. In addition to supporting this program has issued Law No. 4 of 2016 on Saving for Housing which aims to provide low-cost funds long-term sustainable. On the other hand, the government has also issued an economic policy package XIII to cut licensing be only a maximum of 44 days.

To socialize this program then PPDPP as fund manager FLPP in 2016 organized exhibitions in 4 cities and closed in Jakarta. Previously held in Jambi, Banyuwangi and Kendari and receive support and a good response from the public. “I hope the aim of the exhibition is to promote, disseminate information about the mortgage program FLPP achieved,” said Anita.

Government to make efforts to accelerate the supply of housing as one of the rights of citizens as mandated by the constitution. This in turn would affect the sale value of the house, especially the urban poor.
