JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – After being stalled for 22 years, the construction of toll roads Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) resumed.

Toll Road Toll Becakayu Becakayu designed along 21.04 kilometers consisting of two sections.

Section I (Kasablanka-Jaka Sampurna) along the 11 kilometers and Section II (Jaka Sampurna-Duren Jaya) along 10.04 kilometers.

For the construction of the first section alone, the construction costs amounting to Rp 5.7 trillion, which is done by a contractor PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk.

Until November 2016, the construction progress Becakayu Toll Road Section I has reached 78 percent and is targeted to be operational in March 2017.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Hadimuljono Basuki said the segment that will be opened to the public is from the point Jakasampurna to Borobudur University along 8 kilometers.

“March (along 8 km) can already operating. For the rest of the University of Borobudur-Market Gembrong 3 km long will be completed at the end of 2017,” said Basuki Joko Widodo when accompanying President Toll Becakayu review the project on Monday (07/11/2016).

Toll Becakayu whose concession is owned by PT Kresna Kusuma Dyandra Marga over 45 years this will be connected to the toll Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR).
