Yogyakarta – Chairman of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Nur Andi Wijayanto, say, business is still sluggish property until the end of 2016.

“Sluggish business conditions of the property, making sales target of 2,200 houses this year difficult to achieve,” he told reporters in Yogyakarta, on Thursday (15/12).

The low trend of property business in Yogyakarta, he said, partly because most of the customers who have a background of work in the mining and commodity-based industry sector slows down.

“sluggishness condition is influenced linearly with the conditions of weakening commodity prices that is currently happening,” said Andi.

He said, as of September 2016 home sales by developers REI members under 1,000 units, still far from the target of this year reached 2,200 units.

According to him, the reduction or contraction in the property sector by 30 percent to 40 percent in- supply by the house at a price of Rp500 million and above. As for the middle-segment house down with the price of Rp 300 million to the bottom, including subsidies for home / FLPP not experience a significant contraction.

In fact, according to Andi, if seen from the data provision berdasarakan property in DIY market segmentation, for house prices down Rp500 million ( middle-low ) only reached 15 percent. While the house at a price of Rp500 million to Rp 1 billion ( middle up ) reached 65 percent, and the house at a price of Rp 1 billion to reach 20 percent.

“The formation of the structure of supply in the DIY as it was because one of them because of the land prices are quite high,” he added.
