IAP Asks the Government to Give Attention Related Spatial Conflicts

                            

Jakarta – Association of Planning (IAP) asked the government to give serious attention to the spatial planning in the country that the conflict regarding spatial prolonged absence thus hampering economic growth, investment and acceleration of infrastructure development.

The absence of a commitment from the government, said Bernard, lead to conflicts between communities and the municipality as a result of setting the Spatial Plan is not through a comprehensive bottom-up planning. “We do not see how the government explicitly include carrying capasity agenda, poverty alleviation, reduction of slums, provision of clean water to the community, as well as the provision of public housing,” said Bernardus.
